Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I cancel my appointment?
​Your appointment time has been reserved especially for you. If you are unable to keep your appointment, kindly let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can make the slot available.

2. Is Dr. Levy accepting new patients?
Yes.

3. What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring your completed paperwork, a current photo ID, a valid insurance card, and a list of current medications and dosage.

4. Does Dr. Levy treat children?
Yes. Dr. Levy specializes in the treatment of allergy and asthma in adults and children.

5. How do I know if I should be tested for allergies?
If symptoms are interfering with your everyday activities, if you are not sleeping well, or if you are snoring, sneezing and cannot concentrate, you may have problems with allergies.

6. How often can I get an allergy shot?
Generally, patients receive an allergy injection weekly. 

7. Do I need an appointment for my allergy shot?
No, once you are an established patient, we have walk-in clinic hours. 

8. What if I need a prescription refill?
Please call Dr. Levy's  office at 901-682-0430 if you are in need of a refill. Dr. Levy will handle your request personally.

​9. How long is a typical appointment time?
Your appointment time will be based on the need of the appointment. For allergy testing, depending on each patient's reaction time, the appointment may last up to 3 hours. 

10.  Do I need a referral to make an appointment?
We are a self-referral clinic. Dr. Levy accepts physician referrals, but if your insurance does not require it, we do not require a physician referral. 

11. How can I pay for my services? 
Dr. Levy's office accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Care Credit. Our staff will discuss your coverage with you and determine payment arrangements as needed. You will be expected to pay any applicable co-payments and/or deductibles as well as co-insurance at the time of service.

12. Do you accept my health insurance?
Dr. Levy 's allergy practice is in -network with most insurance companies and his staff is happy to file your claim.  Certain plans may not cover all of our services or may have referral requirements that are the responsibility of the patient. We are happy to check with your insurance carrier to determine if we are in-network and if there are any referral requirements for your visit. 

13. What if I don't have health insurance?
For those without insurance or with high-deductible health plans, we gladly offer payment plans. To discuss payment, please call our office.
